Mindfulness Psychotherapy

Mindfulness in psychotherapy and mindfulness meditation for stress reduction have  been around for many years and have recently become accepted and well known by the mainstream.

While most doing mostly coming out of head and not heart or body, this can get us into trouble at level of our body and relationships. By learning to use attention to pay attention to what is arising in the moment, we can gradually begin, to make wiser choices, experience emotions as information that we know how to handle rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.

In my work with others, I assist people in learning how to let go of suffering, dropping into their deeper essence which is already free, and help them cope better with stress, and begin to cultivate genuine happiness.

It is my passion to be able to assist you in finding the peace of mind, and genuine happiness, and equanimity you wish for. Many of the people I work with are dealing with depression, anxiety, difficult relationships, chronic illness, trauma, loss, or substance abuse

This form of therapy I offer assists people in having increased compassion for oneself and others and also greatly reduces stress, which has been scientifically proven to cause dis-ease in the body. Most people have internal stories of self-judgment, self-doubt, and self-blame. Mindfulness-based psychotherapy helps in cultivating inner calm, and emotional equanimity, thus helping people in making wiser choices and experiencing greater well being in all areas of their lives.

I also do phone sessions and most clients have found them to be just as beneficial as in person sessions.
